Google Expose Privacy Dashboard to Control User Data

Recognizing the gravity of users’ privacy rights, Google unveils a new fresh service: Google Dashboard. For quite a while now, Google received a lot of criticism on keeping the amount of users’ data. Now Google users will get sufficient idea about the personal information they share with Google.

Services such as Street view, in past, drew ire over Google from sure quarters around the world. Trying to gain trust from its users, Google lists all its products that are related with your account in Dashboard.



“Over the past 11 years, Google has focused on building original products for our users.
The Dashboard allows user to control settings of your various Google accounts and to monitor information that has shown to public through multiple Google services. Take for Example: Gmail. Here a fast link is displayed on the left side of Dashboard that redirects to Inbox, All mail, Sent mail, Chat history, Saved drafts, Spam and Trash. On right side, a direct link is given to manage chat history, HTTPS settings and all Gmail settings.

Right now Alerts ,Blogger, Custom search engines, Calendar, Contacts, Docs, Finance, Friend Connect, Gmail, iGoogle,Mobile Sync, Health, Latitude, Picasa, Orkut, Profile, Reader, Talk, Tasks, Shopping List, Voice ,Web history and YouTube are included in Dashboard. Users can expect the inclusion of remaining Google products in Dashboard in couple of weeks.
